Good things take time For those of you frustrated with the rate of your hair growth here’s some info to make you feel a little better👇🏻 ✨Fall is the season of SHED! That doesn’t mean you aren’t in growth phase in certain follicles, but if you follow a typical hair cycle, you may begin to notice more shedding compared to the summer months. Don’t fret, it’s often the norm ✨The average rate of hair growth is 1/2 inch per month. That’s AVERAGE meaning you could fall way below that or way above. Typically the finer hair you are the slower you grow, but again this can vary. My suggestion is to practice patience and NEVER compare your hair to someone else. It’s a losing battle. ✨Reducing heat exposure can help for sure. But we have to use common sense inside our growth cycles to make it make the most sense. I recommend blow drying always after your wash to improve the quality of your style and reduce oil production inside your wash cycle. I also recommend styling your hair the first day how you’d like to wear it the rest of the cycle. Get it all done at once, use the correct products and then here’s the trick … LEAVE IT ALONE after that. That’s how you reduce heat styling and still get to wear cute hair. Overall it’s a journey guys but you will get there! If you simply cannot wait, your last option is hair extensions! If you don’t think I still practice on a doll head 16 years into doing extensions YOU’RE WRONG I apply extensions at least 3 times a day every day that I work (5 days a week) Sometimes more But that’s still not the same as practicing Slowing myself down, picking my movements apart, having aha moments that unlock new thinking It is simply not enough to be busy at work To master your craft, you have to figure out what works the best FOR YOU and YOUR CLIENTELE If you’re just copying what you think you’re seeing others do without understanding why, you will never feel confident in your craft When stylists don’t feel confident in their craft, it can lead to things that make clients uncomfortable… not even physically but emotionally Extensions introduce a TON of new variables to clients and things can go wrong. We know this. What is important is understanding why we do things as stylists and why we ask our clients to do certain things so that we can PREVENT things from going wrong. The TRUTH about platinum blonde It takes TIME & MONEY to maintain This client sees me ONCE a week for a detox wash that we use to clear her blond of impurities and use a controlled amount of purple shampoo when needed to maintain tone Ever wonder why your blonde seems to get dingey? Think about the stuff it’s collecting over time🤔 She maintains a strict schedule of both partial and full global bleach out appointments throughout the year to avoid banding in her color Masks are used occasionally to maintain moisture lock And K18 is preformed at every lightening service to repair any broken or damaged keratin bonds Every third appointment or so I bleach wash her entire head to remove color build up and maintain her brightness If you are considering a platinum look, be prepared to hang out with me A LOT to have it’s look it’s best A wash with me weekly isn’t necessary but some clients hair is so insanely thick that as a stylist I can provide more intricate care. Purchasing Your Extensions

If a client neglects to give notice and misses their appointment, the hair reserved for them will be forfeited, resulting in the inability to secure any future services with us.
